Great products alone do not build great brands. Brands also need to be recognizable, consistent, and relevant to today’s consumers.

That was the challenge facing Záruba. For more than 40 years, the Czech producer of mayonnaise, tartar sauces, dressings, and dips had built a strong reputation for quality and trust. Over time, however, the portfolio expanded, individual product lines evolved separately, and the brand gradually lost its visual coherence. While the quality remained unchanged, the packaging no longer communicated the true value of the products on shelf.

Our task was to prepare the brand for its next stage of growth.

Rather than starting from scratch, we identified the assets consumers already associated with Záruba and transformed them into a modern brand system. The goal was to preserve the brand’s heritage while creating a stronger, more contemporary identity capable of working across the entire portfolio.

The new identity brought dozens of products together under one clear and recognizable brand. It improved shelf navigation, strengthened visibility, and created a flexible framework for future innovation and portfolio expansion. As part of the project, we also developed a design system for new product ranges, helping the brand enter new occasions and attract new consumers.

The result is more than a packaging redesign. It is the transformation of a traditional regional brand into a modern, confident, and growth-ready business asset - one that builds on its heritage while competing successfully in a dynamic and increasingly demanding market.
