Fernet Stock is one of the most established spirits brands in the Czech market. As consumer preferences evolve, the brand saw an opportunity to broaden its appeal by introducing a range of lighter, more refreshing flavoured variants aimed at a younger audience.

The challenge was to create products that feel approachable and contemporary while retaining the distinctive character and heritage that make Fernet Stock instantly recognizable.

With Blood Orange and Lime, the ambition was not simply to add two new flavours, but to open up a fresher, lighter side of the brand. Unlike the classic dark Fernet variants, the new products feature clear glass bottles that reveal the vibrant liquid inside. We embraced this distinctive asset by building a visual world around freshness, colour and flavour visibility.

Bright colour palettes immediately differentiate each variant while creating strong shelf impact and an inviting, contemporary appearance. More importantly, they help shift the perception of Fernet Stock towards a new refreshment territory — without losing the connection to the masterbrand.

The key design challenge was finding the right balance between introducing something new and preserving the visual equity of Fernet Stock. We retained the familiar label architecture, typography and brand hierarchy, while reinterpreting the graphics through expressive hand-drawn fruit illustrations and a lighter, more energetic visual language.

Each flavour was given its own distinctive colour world and illustration system, helping consumers quickly navigate the range while reinforcing the taste experience. Together, they create a new expression of Fernet Stock that feels fresh and accessible, yet unmistakably part of the brand.

The result is more than two new flavours. It is a fresh expression of an iconic Czech brand — extending its relevance to new consumers and new drinking occasions while keeping its unmistakable character intact.
