Our chocolate is a token of our appreciation of your patronage, expression of best wishes for 2015 and also a reminder, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Fiala & Šebek agency. This limited edition of only 563 bars of chocolate features 15 different packaging designs. Each design is a unique personal testimony of its author.
Just as there are strong stories behind successful brands and products, which we help develop for our clients, there is also a strong story behind our chocolate. It actually combines several stories...
“It is both the story of creation of the chocolate itself and the stories of each of the unique packaging designs. These stories are also the stories of all colleagues who participated on the project as they enjoyed absolute freedom of self-expression. The packaging design creators were not only graphic designers. All departments, from the reception, creative design, DTP and account management to back office joined in.”
Jiří Fiala, Creative director
“Last, but not least, the idea also focuses on the 20-year-long history of the Fiala & Šebek agency – a story of its people, their views of the world, expertise and ongoing quest for perfect results. These are the stories of people interconnected by their longing for creative ways of expressing thoughts and people who see every new project as exciting motivation.”
Dušan Šebek, CEO
Every chocolate box thus has a story of its creation printed inside. A story behind the idea depicted by the author. A story which allows you to peek in the personality and get a glimpse of the “mystery” of the creator. Look at the entire collection and find the creation story of your chocolate.
“Thanks to its ingredients and the way it was produced, our chocolate has a free-spirited and relaxed look. Therefore, I painted a colourful and vivid background and wrote words associated with manual production of chocolate, packaging design creation and free painting over it – words which characterise the attitude of all people involved in creation of the final product.”
Libor Havel
“I wanted to portray our company in a humorous way as one large machine where each department works as one of its important parts and all parts form something ‘absolutely perfect and creative’, which is what the chocolate inside the packaging represents.”
Tereza Špacírová
“Henna body tattoo, an activity to which I devote part of my free time, was my inspiration. Flower ornaments create a final picture composed of delicate details symbolising a feminine touch, love for nature and tradition...”
Markéta Kozumplíková
“Why a swallow? Because it is an ancient symbol traditionally tattooed on hands and chests of sailors navigating seas and oceans. They earn the right to get their tattoo only after having sailed 5,000 nautical miles. What does it represent for me? It is a symbol of courage, loyalty and most importantly, it is a bearer of hope, symbolising arrival of happy times.”
Michaela Máslová
“Just as fragments of our company’s history form its today’s image, the patchwork technique of sawing old pieces of cloth together was used to form a new unit. In the 17th century, this technique became very popular as it helped created unique design objects – just as our, respectively now already yours, chocolate. I have a similar cover myself from my childhood, which I have inherited from my grandmother. That is how this motif became my inspiration when making a patchwork chocolate.”
Tomáš Vondráček
“Every day, we select the best available ingredients and mix them together using the correct formula. Then, we transform the mix into a final visual image in the photo studio. Our proposal is thus a welcomed change from our everyday work. This time, we have transformed a perfect visual image into a real, tasty chocolate. A small Christmas magic for you.”
Vladimír Cimický & Adéla Srbová
“My design version was inspired by cartoon and hipster culture. I draw inspiration from battles of cartoon illustrators in front of audience at Secret Wars events on one hand, and from a hipster-minimalistic retro style of logo production on the other. I have portrayed us as guarding angels of our clients for whom we prepare here ‘in heaven’ divine designs.”
František Podaný
“I have chosen cocoa beans as a motif as they are directly connected with chocolate. Then, I hand painted the beans because painting is my big hobby. At the same time, this expression provides the packaging with the resulting vintage character.”
Lenka Zabloudilová
“My design was inspired by my relationship to our design ‘shop’, our work ethics and great team we all form here.”
Matouš Urban
“When working on the design I (just as always) followed the brief and focused on the needs of the target group and the job budget ☺”
Andrej Guriev
“When thinking about the appropriate illustration for a gift chocolate, I wanted to express care and tenderness. Therefore, there is a little girl holding a cat portrayed on the cover. I used old photos of my sister from our family archive as my inspiration. I wanted to project in the design my delicate character and talent and also express the care for our clients.”
Renata Ishmukametová
“The principle of the journey being the destination was my inspiration. I experimented with various fine art techniques without knowing beforehand where the journey was going to take me and what particular image I was trying to create. I was enjoying all the surprising results, emerging under my hands, mesmerised by the results. This way, I was able to take a peek into an entirely different world from that of my everyday work routine where every client’s project has a clear primary vision. Working towards the vision, it is our job to identify the best way of reaching it.”
Martin Vlk
“Poetry of the colours of rainbow dressed in a technicistic attire… Soul conjoined with substance in a wild dance of colours and shapes, sharpened by sensitive details of brush strokes which charge the painting with temperament and tenderness at the same time...”
Petr Dobeš
“‘In colours’... A passionate painter and a happy fool, Picasso, was my inspiration.”
Jiří Cabicar
“Naive, colourful clouds for serenity and contentment... Perhaps because I am a blonde...”
Pavla Šebková
The bars of chocolate were made for you by hand by Mrs. Kubešová in her family manufacture, called Ruční výroba praline s.r.o. Exceptional Kayambe 45% chocolate, which thanks to its composition of carefully selected ingredients can bear an exclusive label: ‘Noble Ingredients’, from the production of a French family business, Michel Cluizel, was used to produce the chocolate.”
In its principle of being a part of one and the same and at the same time diverse project, each of the 563 created chocolates reflects the touches of all of us who participated on its creation. Thus combining our gratitude towards you and best wishes from every member of the Fiala & Šebek agency.
